Our Sunday dinner series is a special weekly occasion, a unique experience for the DC community here in Bloomingdale. Clementina, our chef, does a wonderful job of finding delicious, local, seasonal foods at markets around town. With the help of our kitchen and dinner staff, she creates something really beautiful in our dining room. We want you to come in and commune with neighbors over a good, wholesome meal with excellent wine and wonderful company. In our first few weeks of Sunday Dinners, we’ve had so many interesting people sit and eat, from local farmers, filmmakers, dads and moms, foodies of all kinds, students, families . . . we can’t wait to welcome you to the table.
What it is
The Sunday Farmers’ Market Dinner is a reservation-only, 3-5 course meal prepared here at Big Bear using local ingredients. Each guest receives a seat at the table and a complimentary glass of wine, paired with our meal by our chef. Cheese, wine, dessert, great conversation.
How it works
Join our Sunday Dinner Mailing list. Every week you’ll receive an email with our menu. If you’d like to attend, please RSVP as soon as possible. Each dinner seats around 15 people, so let us know how many seats you would like. We will let you know as soon as possible if we can accommodate your request!
Each meal is at market price, depending on the menu and availability. Recently, meals range from $40-$60 per guest, including a glass of wine paired with the meal. The paired wine is available for purchase after the first glass. House coffee, espresso, tea, wine, beer, or signature cocktails are also available for purchase. You are welcome to stay and mingle as long as you like after your meal.
This meal is at a communal table, family-style, so you and your family/friends/neighbors/self can sit down at our big table and enjoy a quality meal together. It is a wonderful way to make new friends and connections, and we welcome neighbors of all ages. Please let us know if there are any children in your party, as we want to accommodate any picky eaters.
