MONDAY
I. Pasta with broccoli leaves and oil-cured olives. $10
II. Frittata of nettles and yellow maitake mushrooms. Spring greens salad. $12
TUESDAY
I. Pan-fried maitake mushrooms, poached egg, marinated asparagus salad. $14
II. Braised lamb hind-shanks, lentils, sauteed broccoli rabe (subject to change with availability). $16
WEDNESDAY
I. Seared provolone cheese (sliced like a steak) and portobello in Trojani sauce. Spring greens salad. $15
II.Seared flank steak in Trojani sauce. Spring greens salad. $15
THURSDAY
I. White bean and spelt soup. $10
II.Spinach and potato frittata. Spring greens salad. $12
FRIDAY
I. Whole wheat spaghetti with tuna ragu. Spring greens salad. $12
II.Peasant’s Purse IV: sauteed lion’s mane and yellow oyster mushrooms, red quinoa, dandelion, soft-scrambled egg with garlic chives. $14
SATURDAY
I. Braised greens on soft polenta, poached egg, shaved pecorino. $12
II.Pork loin chops, in the pan with rosemary and garlic. Sauteed kale. $14
SUNDAY (when there is no Family-Style Dinner, May 13 & 20)
I. Pasta Marinara. Spring greens salad. $10
II.Beans and greens stew, walnut pesto. $12
SUNDAY EVENINGS: SUNDAY FAMILY STYLE DINNER & CAFE SERVICE
Our family-style dinners this month are May 6 & 27. On Sunday evenings when there is a family-style dinner, we offer a limited menu for people who are not attending the communal dinner.
Our Sunday dinner series is a special bimonthly occasion: a reservation-only, 3 course meal prepared here at Big Bear using locally-sourced ingredients.
