Try the Purple Princess in the Press Pot

Filed under: Big Bear News — Lana @ 1:23 pm

We’re now pressing the single origin Honduras Finca El Puente (the “purple princess”) in addition to Sumatra Aceh Gayo Fair Trade Organic (I’ve written about this coffee before, here). They’re the same price as our regular coffee, but there’s a 4 min. wait time to get your freshly brewed pot. I like the El Puente in the afternoon ’cause it’s a little lighter. try it without milk.

I saw a bunch of police last night outside the Big Bear, and one of the windows was busted.
    Is everything ok?

I also read this morning that Lana actually knocked someone through the window when they were trying to rob the place.
    That is crazy…

I can see her doing it, though.

some guy threw a brick through our front door (the brick is on display by the register for those interested) and then stole the $3 in change that we left in the register. more of a pain to clean up the glass than anything else. i guess he realized there’s not much to steal from a coffee shop! (bags of beans aside…)

we’ve got some nifty graffiti plywood left over from a previous party covering up the hole now. it’s actually kind of cool. we may leave it up for awhile.
thanks to everyone who expressed concern!
