Answers to Commonly Asked QUESTIONS
CAPACITY QUESTIONS:
We are a busy neighborhood cafe, and we only offer OUTDOOR event reservations during the day (from 8am to 3pm) on our private garden patio since the indoors is too busy with our local customers.
Therefore, brunches, bridal showers, baby showers, and all other other special daytime events take place outdoors on the private garden patio on the side of the Big Bear building. We have a large kitchen in the basement of the kitchen with a designated chef for your event.
We have a maximum capacity of 30 guests for weekend daytime brunch and lunch events (from 8am to 3pm).
If your event has more than 30 guests, we would still love to have you. We ask that your event take place after 3pm where we can guarantee you more space. Please speak with events manager to plan an event later in the day.
In the event of inclement weather - we have a large canopy tent that covers the 1st street patio. While we usually keep the tent down we can install it to ensure your guests stay dry. This is a decision made at our discretion 24 hours before your event start.
The canopy tent can provide shelter for 30 guests for a standing open floor reception, and 20 guests seated. We ask that if you have a group larger than 20 you understand the event will be more of a buffet style open floor reception if it rains.
